When I Feel Well

When I feel well

I find myself walking in the sun

The flowers stare up at me

And the leaves wave to me in the wind

I look up at the blue in the sky and

I  forget for a moment the darkness that exists

When I feel well

I lay down in the grass and watch

earths smallest creatures navigate the blades

I wonder at higher powers and

planets and know my wellness is fleeting

I ask, “Do I really exist?”
