Exterminate

I’ll never forget                                                     driving through corn fields
Top down
Wind blowing through                                         Purple owl to rock to
The sun was bright
The sky a brilliant blue
We laid your father in the grave
Dig in
Dig in
Deep inside of me
The most free
In what seemed like your
Endless bliss

We made love in the hot R.V.
And you held me against
The rails
Overlooking gushing falls
We screamed over the pounding waves

I was never was enough

Still you fill me in a way
No other man can
You emptied me
Over and over
Barren lands
To pour all over me again

I would have
I would have
Flown for you
